What to Bring?
Camp Grimes Website
Every summer, Troop 19 heads to Camp Grimes (Mecklenburg Scout Reservation) in the mountains of NC. For one week scouts get to earn Merit Badges, ride ATVs, and enjoy troop activities in the campsite. This page is designed to aide you in getting ready for Summer Camp. The links above go to various parts of the Camp Grimes website and inform you of what you need to bring with you to camp as well as other important information.

You will need Adobe Reader to view any of these forms.

You will need the following 2 forms for Summer Camp. One is the Merit Badge Signup Form and the other form shows any Merit Badge Restrictions that might apply (age/rank).
If you have any questions about Summer Camp, contact Eric Maillet.

There will be a Swim Test night on the first Tuesday night in June to qualify you for your swimming level. This is done in place of our regular troop meeting for that night and to save time when arriving to Camp Grimes.

Puppies will be participating in the Trailblazer program. 2nd Year campers need to sign up for Environmental Science during sessions 3-4 or 5-6.

For ages 14 the first All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Certification, these programs are very limited in size and have a higer cost as well.

We prefer that Scouts do not take any of the Citizenship Merit Badges, Communications, or Personal Fitness at camp - we complete those in the troop at our Merit Badge Workshops.
