Troop 19 Camp Grimes Adirondacks

Home

Troop 19 is launching a capital campaign! Perhaps your family, or your place of employment can help.

It's time to retire the platform tents at Grimes!

We know how much everyone enjoys spending nights in these tents, but Camp Grimes has a newly designed Adirondack cabin that will eventually replace all the existing platform tents.

This will be an expensive endeavor, so we are first going to focus on building 4 cabins in Puppy World.  Each cabin will cost $4,200 to construct and can sleep 8 scouts.  Several generous donors have agreed to match donations from Troop 19 up to the $4,200 cost.  So, if the family and friends of Troop 19 can raise $4,200, we can build 2 cabins.  No amount is too small or too big.  If you would like to dedicate an entire cabin for someone specifically, this is available by donating the total cost of $4,200.  A permanent plaque will be specially made and installed on one of the cabins in that person's honor.

Our goal is to construct at least 2 cabins to be used for summer camp this year.  If you would like to donate, we ask you to do it by February 15th so we can keep the momentum and make plans for construction.  Check with your employer; many companies will match donations from employees to non-profit organizations.  It's a great way to make your donated dollars go further to help Troop 19.

Checks can be made out to BSA Troup 19 and mailed to 15133 Ewart Rd, Huntersville NC 28078 or delivered personally to Larry Banks.  In the memo line, please note Grime’s Cabins
